DoubleVerify Raises $33 Million on a $200 Million Valuation
Ad verification startup DoubleVerify has raised a fourth round of $33 million from private equity fund JMI Equity and Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). According to Ynet, the deal values DoubleVerify at $200 million. JMI knows quite a bit about display advertising, having bought DoubleClick before its $3.1 billion acquisition by Google.
Venture Geeks Launches New Startup Accelerator Program in Tel Aviv
GeekMedia, the company behind the Israeli blog NewsGeek (Hebrew) has launched VentureGeeks, a new incubator program in Israel, which will provide seed funding and mentorship to Israeli startups. The Tel-Aviv based incubator is meant to serve as an accelerator program for startups, following the model of US based Y Combinator. Startups which are admitted to the program will receive up to $20,000 in pre-seed funding, office space, administrative services and advice from a group of mentors. The cost for startups is 10% of their equity.
IVC PE Survey: Private Equity Deals Booming in Israel
Israeli Private Equity is experiencing some serious growth, according to the IVC-GKH Quarterly Private Equity (PE) Survey conducted by IVC Research Center. Private Equity is relatively less developed than VC in Israel but with deep pockets. There are 27 active private equity funds operate in Israel, with total managed capital standing at $6 billion in 2010.
