Tveez Marketing Intelligence Raises $15 Million

tveez.gifTVeez a point of sale marketing company, is moving forward with a $15 million round led by Giza and Benchmark Israel. TVeez was founded in 2004 with no VC capital – perhaps because it was co-founded by Yair Goldfinger, founder of Dotomi and one of the founders of Mirabilis, the developer of the ICQ messaging program that was sold to AOL for $450 million back in the days of the first bubble. To date, Tveez has raised $12 million from private investors: Itzhak Malka, Mordechai Shtibel, Zonebit and Oren Udi. Mr. Goldfinger is the primary share holder.

Tveez developed a technological search engine that interfaces with ERP systems and helps marketing staff create relevant messages for customer. According to CEO Adi Eyal:

To make it simple, our system allows retailers to offer customers waiting in the queue for service at cellular companies, banks or post offices, suitable information and marketing content

The company’s main product is TveezMI, a marketing intelligence platform that knows how to personally match advertising on the user level, by mining metadata from the host’s ERP system. To illustrate, let’s use an example: a user goes to the ATM and gets on-screen commercials based on his credit level in his checking account. If the customer is short on change, commercials for loans will appear. If he’s checking is glowing from happiness, the bank could promote investment opportunities such as trust or mutual funds. The product is meant to increase ROI, traffic and conversions.

Tveez’s products are deployed in 50,000 points of sale in 30 countries providing marketing technology to Fortune 2000 retailers, banks, government agencies, and other consumer-oriented companies. Among its clients are McDonald’s, 7-11, HSBC, the Sheraton group, Blockbuster and more. Most recently TVeez signed a $10 million contract with CitiBank in January.

Tveez is headquartered in both Israel and Boston, as well as an office in Colombia. According to IVC Online the company has 250 employees. Apart from its advanced MI solutions, Tveez also offers businesses web design, video and on site marketing promotion.
