Readers of VC Cafe know that I passionately collect Israeli startup maps. The Israeli startup ecosystem is very dynamic and maps can quickly become out of date, as we sadly see these days with startup closures.

HR Tech Landscape
Greenfield Partners published the latest HR (human resources) Israel startup landscape. Investment in HR-Tech reached an all-time high totalling $12.5 billion in 2021 and accelerated to $7.5 billion in the first half of 2022 alone.
Insurtech startup landscape
Insurtech (or Insurance tech) has produced a number of unicorns in Israel: Lemonade, Hippo Insurance, Next Insurance, Earnix and AtBay to name a few. FinTlv put together this mapping of Israeli insurance/ insurtech landscape, which includes a category for “insurtech enablers”: companies that are not carriers, MGAs, or brokers, but nonetheless play a vital role in the insurance value chain – those that provide tools or services essential to the industry, such as technology used to improve pricing, claims, and underwriting.
Construction tech (or Contech/ Proptech)
With a global market of $13T, construction is one of the largest industries in the world, generating 13% of the world’s GDP. Viola Ventures published an updated version of the Israeli construction tech landscape
ClimateTech (Carbon removal, emission reduction, data and intelligence)
Mizmaa Ventures published the new Israeli climate tech startup landscape in Novemeber 2022.
FoodTech (higher quality, sustainable food)
Startup Nation Central, together with the Kitchen food tech hub and Strauss, created the latest Israeli food tech startup landscape. There are more than 200 startups operating in the food space and a new annual summit bringing the top players in the food tech space to Israel.
Fintech
Greenfield partners published the new CFO tech stack startup landscape. Israeli startups are flagged accordingly in the map below, which was published in Calcalist in November 2022.
