10 Israeli startups on AngelList Looking for Funding

AngelList is currently has 23,971 startpus across countries, Investors can track colleges, market, industries, founders or startups. Entrepreneurs can recruit, market, fundraising. Judging by the panel with Naval Ravikant last week at Google I/O, AngelList is just getting started. I’ve selected a sample of 10 interesting Israeli startups which are currently raising funding on AngelList.

Angels and VCs will tell you that success is all about pipeline. “If you don’t see the deal, you can’t do the deal”, told me a veteran VC in London once. Well, if pipeline is what you’re after, being active on AngelList is like drinking straight from the hose. The challenge is cutting the wheat from the chuff. I’ve been a member on AngelList for the last couple of years, and have been impressed by the growth of the platform – not only in the number of startups that join, but also in the features being added. VCs are joining the party, too. AngelList is currently has 23,971 startpus across countries,  Investors can track colleges, market, industries, founders or startups. Entrepreneurs can recruit, market, fundraise and list their skills for other startups/companies. Judging by the panel with Naval Ravikant last week at Google I/O, AngelList is just getting started.

There are more than 350 startups from Israel looking for capital on AngelList. To give you a sample, I’ve selected a sample of 10 interesting Israeli startups which are currently raising funding on AngelList. Take a peak:

Bizzabo logoBizzabo – LinkedIn + FourSquare + Events –

Bizzabo is an early stage startup with a mission to unleash and maximize the true potential of networking during events. We make business networking easier. Bizzabo is a location-based mobile app that helps event attendees make the professional connections they really want to make. On the event organizer side, Bizzabo is a way to mobilize, socialize and localize an event, in less than 5 minutes.

celludrive logoCelluDrive – Technology for safer driving

Celludrive analyzes actual driving patterns and allows results to be shared with anyone. The driver installs the application on a Smartphone and it begins to automatically register speeding, harsh breaking, sudden accelerations and sharp turns while the vehicle is in motion. Periodical emails to driver will provide an assessment of driving techniques.

Grippity -Handheld Input reinvented

Grippity logoGrippity lets you use the previously un-emplyed 8 fingers at the back of any handheld electronic device. With an aproved US patent and others pending, Grippity owns the back side of mobile phones, handheld keyboards, poratable gaming consoles and gaming controller, as long as these are transparent.  Touching the back side of a transparent display allows for very accurate touch, as the finger doesn’t hide the pixels. It also allows the use of all ten fingers, not just two thumbs.

FunkKit – Threadless for shoes

FunkKit logoFunkKit brings creative solutions for customizing and designing shoes. The company combines technology, community and art to footwear by offering a new range of user-generated stick-on designs to customize shoes on a daily basis. Similar to skins for laptops, ipods and cellphones. FunkKit’s designs are based on a community of artists and provides an opprtunity for designers to showcase their artwork on a platform striving to lead a new category of expression in global apparel.

Storyteller – Self-publishing platform for interactive children app stories

Storyteller logoStoryteller lets amateurs and professionals create an interactive story as an app for Ipad, for free, in a simple intuitive manner. The platform can be used by individuals or as white label for publishers and others. We are working on an Alpha version with an LOI from a children content producer in the US.

Moolta – Social platform where friends can ‘dare’ each other for social and tangible incentives

Indoorgo Navigation Systems – We develop indoor location based intelligence system.

The solution is applicable for any exhibition or retail store, where client location intelligence is important and behavioral patterns are analyzed and translated into revenues. We use Wi-Fi networks for positioning, navigation and short messaging in portable devices

Friendize.Me – Tap Your Friends’ Knowledge

Superfly – Reinventing Flight Search

Even market leaders like Kayak essentially arbitrage web traffic. Superfly created an award winning experience for travelers to help them organize all their travel, and find the best value flights. Superfly created a back-end were suppliers can build special segmented offers. This enables us to generate 10x revenue per user vs. other meta search sites
